HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

This short course teaches the essential skills required to perform CPR safely and effectively in accordance with current Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

Participants will practice CPR techniques on adult, child and infant manikins and learn how to respond in cardiac and breathing emergencies.

Course content includes:

• Recognising cardiac arrest

• CPR techniques

• Use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)

• Legal and safety considerations
